For Your Information

Yes, information discovered by authorities with the arrest of Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani appears to be three years old. But after the great partisan harangue, better known as the 9/11 Commission, isn't the discovery of a plot constructed by a currently active terrorist group enough to warrant alarm and public transparency? Here's what the Washington Post's combative, politically charged headline won't tell you, towards the end of the article:
"I think the indications are that this has been a very longstanding effort on the part of al Qaeda," one official said Sunday, "that it dates from before 9/11, it continued after 9/11 and based on what it is that we are concerned about, we know about in terms of al Qaeda's plans and intentions that it probably continues even today."
WHAT DO YOU KNOW: There's a little bit more to the story.
