Idiocy Bulletin: Preferences

Note the difference in press reaction to when British intelligence disputes a link between Iraq and al Qaeda, as opposed to its insistence upon data confirming Saddam's pursuit of uranium from Africa.

This doesn't go both ways, either; challenging the British claim to the former actually works through direct arguments.

UPDATE: The Daily Howler is continuing its indubitably anti-idiotarian defense - not of Bush, per se, but of the facts of the matter. Don't like the idea of Saddam trying to purchase uranium from Africa recently? Fine - just get the facts straight. It's impressive. I'm almost half-convinced I won't throw up reading any number of the Howler's articles that critique the right. Maybe a few urps. A slight, involuntary twitch of the throat.
