Sixty years ago a little island awakened a sleeping giant; he awoke and smashed the island to pieces. Gently, the victorious giant gathered the shards of the once-proud island and built it up anew, forged in the giant's image.
The island never forgot - nor lost its sense of gratitude, mutual admiration and solidarity.
No fairy tale here: Japan is behind us.
